France Autopartage, brand « CITIZ » is a private cooperative organisation created in 2002 by local carsharing operators to make investments (purchasing group, data-processing services,…), partnerships (lobbying, partnership with public or private organizations) and experiments (marketing, studies,…). Today, 15 operators in more than 60 towns and managing more than 700 cars and 15,000 customers are part of the network.
France Autopartage is directly responsible of managing the software package and the database necessary for its members (local carsharing operators). This software permits the registration of the end-users, the reservation of the cars, the access to the car, the billing of each usage and the book kipping.
France Autopartage owns the brand « Citiz » which is used by most of its members to provide theirs services.
France Autopartage is also marketing this brand for its members.
Within work package 1 “ESPRIT: User and system requirements and common functional specification“ CITIZ will provide is know-how in designing, managing and marketing the newly created ESPRIT carsharing service.
ROCHE Yvon, male, is co-manager and Director of the information systems of France Autopartage. He is graduate from the Aix-Marseille University in mathematics applied to data processing. He is the founder the only carsharing operator of Marseille (France) and has been managing it since 2002. He is one of the 4 co-founders of France Autopartage.
